FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WTI announces the establishment of a comprehensive fraud reduction program that provides today's companies with truly effective fraud loss reductions, while maintaining aggressive cost containment goals.
"Security, especially in fraud related areas, has always been about balancing risk against cost; now we can substantially reduce that risk without blowing the costs out of range," says Andy Wilson, one of the architects of the program. Already in place with companies in the healthcare and service industries, the firm is now expanding the program to cover most major industrial and commercial groups.
By bringing the various components of the organization together with outside specialists, this program initiates a pro-active fraud prevention process that actively reduces fraud risks. The key to this success lies in WTI's multi-layered partnering with client companies. "Establishing relationships with specialized providers is nothing new in corporate America, but this initiative takes it to a new level - integrating the consultants with the risk management, legal, and security areas to achieve a real risk reduction process," says WTI's Jonathan Turner.
Today's companies are focused on core areas and maintaining maximum efficiency, making them more successful than ever. Unfortunately, that very success has made them the targets of fraudsters and scam artists, often including their own employees. According to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners' 1996 "Report to the Nation," financial fraud schemes are increasing, in number and damages, with costs now totaling over $400 Billion annually or $9 per employee day for U.S. Businesses. This program is successfully demonstrating that this number can be reduced through aggressive management.
Firm representatives will be speaking during the 35th RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition in Atlanta during two sessions this year, and are available for meetings on Tuesday, April 15, 1997 (except between 1:30 - 2:00 PM) and Wednesday, April 16, 1997 (except between 8:30 - 10:00 AM).
